The A 380 impresses!

Grannie is wheeled right to the door of the aircraft and we farewell her trusty wheels as she is pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to make her way to her window seat since the backs of the seat pods are at a perfect height for her to hold on to. Stewart and I on the otherhand have some serious identity issues to sort as it is just automatically assumed that we are husband and wife - Mr and Mrs Fulljames - off course! So we plan to design name badges clearly stating our relationship in order to prevent any further confusion.
More champagne, moet this time and a brilliant sunset over the Manukau as we taxi down the runway right on cue.
Let the party begin!
A short hop across the Tasman and another sojurn in the Sydney business class lounge before boarding again for the long haul to Dubai. Grannue is keen to see where Stewart and I keep dissapearing so I suggest a loo stop which takes her right to the source of the crime.
She is hooked! After realising that loostops on the A380 are completely manageable she is not going to miss out on the cocktail bar experience and she pauses to remind us how lucky it is that she is our mother! Naturally we toasted that with another Moet. 'Aren't we special'  was her response.
We wined and dined like kings and queens and The Planner and the pus,her decided that in all future travel experiences one of  us should always travel in 'wheels' as the attention one recieves is akin to that of royalty.
Somewhere in the  middle of the night over the Indian  Ocean Stewart and I decide a nightcap is in order. Grannie is sleeping soundly as are most of the passengers so we head to the bar  and are on our second baileys when the curtain pops open and there is Grannie!! We are gobsmacked but delighted that she is confident to tackle the jouney down the aisle alone, so even thou she said she was going on for a loo stop we invited her to join us and there was no hesitation.
And so sleep beckoned and Dubai appeared on the horizon several hours later.
